I joined moneysupermarket.com in 2006, after being recommended by both friends and family as the company was one of the most reputable businesses in the local area.
After working for the company for just under one year I joined the facilities department as a Facilities Assistant. I enjoyed working in a varied yet challenging role that provided me with the opportunity to show my commitment and enthusiasm to moneysupermarket.com. Then after a short space of time, I was promoted to my current role, managing the Facilities function.
The Facilities team is a small, close knit team and we all get along well both in work and socially. My role is very diverse with many opportunities to improve my own learning and gain new skills. The atmosphere here is great; there are so many friendly faces.
Moneysupermarket.com is very different from any other company I have worked for, you’re given a lot more freedom in your working day and can manage your own time. The trust placed in people definitely makes them happier and more productive.
Since joining I’ve obtained at least three additional qualifications and I’m working towards another two at the moment. I’d like to gain further experience in my current role and then hopefully one day progress to senior management at moneysupermarket.com.
Moneysupermaket.com is a diverse company and we’ve been able to grow considerably in the last few years while maintaining a relaxed and friendly working environment.
I work in I.T. as an Analyst Programmer delivering customer facing web based applications as well as back office systems to support business processes.
The best part of my role is the variety of work I get involved with; as we develop in an agile approach it allows me to get involved with different IT disciplines and learn new skills. The most enjoyable part of working life here is that there’s such a wealth of experience and like-minded people that want to collectively make things better rather than just seeing it as a place to work.
I originally joined the company in early 2006 and after 2 and half years decided to leave as I felt that I would be able to progress my career further within another company. After a few weeks at the new company I quickly realised that moneysupermarket.com was already technically ahead of many companies and was definitely the place to help me progress and learn new skills, luckily there was an opportunity to come back to moneysupermarket.com. I’m pleased I made the decision to return as I’ve been able to work with agile practices and enterprise tools such as Rational Suite. I’m working towards becoming a Lead Analyst Programmer where I would head up a small team making sure they deliver on time to the requirements of the business.
Moneysupermarket.com is a place that recognises the importance of providing a good working environment for people, there are always initiatives running to help improve the ways in which we work, which is great as everyone can get involved.
How would I describe the environment here? Agile, always changing, where you can learn new skills whilst working with great people along the way!
My current role at moneysupermarket.com is Protection Consultant providing advice and recommendation on Protection Insurance such as life, critical illness, income and mortgage protection to customers over the phone.
Before joining moneysupermarket.com I was studying Chemistry at University, I gradually lost my passion for Chemistry and felt I needed a new start and a new passion…moneysupermarket.com gave me both!
I had never worked on a phone before and had absolutely no sales experience but after going through initial training I was one of the top sellers on my team! I then moved to the protection sales team and once again excelled here. This success has been through both my determination to succeed and the support received from the company.
I’d heard horror stories about call centres, clock watching, asking permission to go to the toilet etc but moneysupermarket.com isn’t like that at all, it’s a really good working environment, I wouldn’t think of it as a call centre at all. The best part about my role is speaking to different people on a daily basis and helping them with their needs, I’d hate for a client to be in a situation where they would have to make a claim on a policy, but if they did I know that I have gone a long way to helping them and their family. The people here are great and make it enjoyable coming to work everyday.
My career aspirations are to be successful – a bit vague I know! In the short term my aim is to pursue a team leader role and then to keep progressing into management and possibly beyond.
What differentiates moneysupermarket.com from other employers? The team leaders and management, in previous roles I’ve felt that management is very power driven, this isn’t the case here at all, of course we are all striving to get results and have the same goals but the managers and team leaders help and give you the support to get there as a team. I would definitely recommend working for moneysupermarket.com
I joined Moneysupermarket in 2001 after being recommended by my husband who joined the company in 2000. He had always come home from work happy, telling me about this up and coming company he was working for. It sounded like an exciting place to work and when a role became available I didn’t hesitate to put my application forward.
I am currently employed as a Commercial Manager for travel, pet, roadside, medical and dental insurances. The principal responsibility of my role is to generate and maintain new and current commercial deals and provider relationships.
When I joined moneysupermarket.com it wasn’t my intention to enter a management position, but when the role became available I was encouraged and supported to pursue this career path. Moving into a Commercial Manager role has been a positive experience for me and it’s an area I thoroughly enjoy working in – with moneysupermarket.com you never know what opportunities are around the corner!

My role at moneysupermarket.com is a Data Analyst within the MIS team. I produce management reports for the business in order for them to make commercial decisions. In total I’ve been here for just over two years, I left for a short period of time as I was offered a role which looked brilliant on paper offering a higher level position. The grass definitely wasn’t greener! I’m now back at moneysupermarket.com and a lot happier working here, the training is great and I know that the work I am doing adds value to the business.
The work here is always challenging and varied, if you’re looking for a lively, stimulating environment to work in with room for self development and training then I’d definitely recommend moneysupermarket.com, the fun office atmosphere is the icing on the cake! The support that’s offered here is great and is a key reason for my enthusiasm for the job along with the hard working but fun team I’m apart of.
What are my career aspirations? To gain my Microsoft IT Professional qualification (MCITP) in Business Intelligence is a definite, I’ve already completed the pre-requisites to sit the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification and will be sitting the exam in the future…then it’s onto the MCITP!
I work in the PR & Communications department at moneysupermarket.com as a Public Relations Officer. My daily work in the press office involves communicating externally with journalists and members of the media to answer their enquiries about moneysupermarket.com and the specialist knowledge that we have of personal finance. It is my job to make sure that moneysupermarket.com has a good reputation both with the consumers who use the website and the media who come to us for research and commentary.
Before joining moneysupermarket.com I completed a journalism degree at the University of Central Lancashire where I had the opportunity to do a work placement for More magazine during my final year. My role at Moneysupermarket is by far the best job I’ve had so far and one that I really enjoy, the variety and opportunities that I’ve already come across mean that from one day to the next I’m constantly learning and acquiring new skill sets and discovering how I react to different situations I’m faced with.
I wanted to join Moneysupermarket.com because I believed it would be a great opportunity to join a company that was continually growing, and working hard to achieve bigger and better things. I joined as the PR team was set up and it was amazing to be part of a team nominated for an industry award in its first year.
My own development and that of the team has been unbelievable in such a short time and I believe that this speed of evolvement is mirrored throughout many areas of the business. I don’t believe there are many companies that progress as rapidly as moneysupermarket.com does. The atmosphere here is dynamic and everyone works hard across the business to achieve success.
I joined moneysupermarket.com in August 1999 after graduating from University. My career at moneysupermarket.com has seen me progress through a variety of roles including Underwriter, Product Development to my current role as Content Manager for travelsupermarket.com. I have overall ownership of all the content on the travel pages along with managing and developing the content team to coordinate and deliver content requirements.
The thing I like most about my role is being able to make a difference and having the control to make changes to the website along with interacting with lots of different teams such as creative, commercial and IT. People play a huge part at moneysupermarket.com and I’ve made a lot of great friends over the years as well as carving out a fulfilling career for myself.
The environment here is casual but hardworking, it’s a changing company where there are always opportunities arising, during my career I’ve been able to experience lots of different roles gaining lots of skills and experiences from managing teams to researching new products and learning all about the travel industry, working alongside a supportive, fun, friendly and hardworking team.
My career aspiration? To successfully develop and improve the content on travelsupermarket.com
I joined moneysupermarket.com in 2004 and am currently the Service Desk Manager, I have overall responsibility for the service desk and to provide day to day direction for a team of 14, who provide first point of contact to all users within the company.
The thing I enjoy most about my role is the different people you get to deal with on daily basis, the most enjoyable thing about working for the company is the fast paced environment and the variety of work you get to be involved in.
I joined moneysupermarket.com because of its prospects; in 2004 the company was still very small and growing dramatically. It was back then, and still is now, a very exciting place to work.
Since joining the company I’ve gained many key skills and experiences which have helped dramatically with my career progression. My aspirations are to become an IT Director working my way through management. The team I manage works hard and plays hard which is something I like to promote.
At the end of the day, we all know that we’re working towards the same goals and that’s what really differentiates moneysupermarket.com from any other employer.
How would I best describe the environment at moneysupermarket.com? Fast paced and exciting - I would definitely recommend working for us!
I am a team leader on the Loans Team in MCAT (moneysupermarket.com customer assistance team) and my main responsibilities are to support the Sales Manager and train and develop members of the loans sales team to improve performance and achieve goals and targets. A key focus is to make sure excellent service is delivered by the teams.
I decided to join moneysupermarket.com as I liked what the company had to offer, I had no prior experience of loans or personal finance but that didn’t put me off. I’d recommend moneysupermarket.com as a great place to work, I get on really well with my colleagues and there is always a lot of enthusiasm around the business. Since I started here I’ve made some employee referrals and two of my old colleagues also came to work here and I received a monetary bonus for each new recruit.
The most enjoyable part of my job is helping people to develop their skills; it is great to be able to see the improvements in people. Since I started at Moneysupermarket.com I’ve made a lot of personal progress and in a short space of time made the move from loans advisor to supervisor to team leader. I’ve also gained a qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management and I’m currently finishing working on an NVQ level 3 in First Line Management, both will aid me in advancing my career and have given me more confidence and a new set of skills to draw from.
moneysupermarket.com is a great place to work and there is always fun to be had, especially as I’m a member of the company social committee. There are always events being organised and participation and enthusiasm is always high. I work with a great team and there are many other benefits to working for a company like moneysupermarket.com where there is constant encouragement to achieve and unlike any other organisation I’ve worked for goals and responsibilities are clearly outlined.
