MoneySuperMarket Plans £17m Channel Expansion

We are investing £17 million in upgrading our computer and data systems to help ensure our customers are getting the best deals on our website.

We are developing our TravelSupermarket.com website to run alongside our money, insurance and home services sites, in order to make searches faster and more efficient for our users.

The upgrade should also make it easier for customers to compare prices on mobile phones and tablets as well as on their home and work PCs.

Peter Plumb, our Chief Executive, has quoted as follows: “The new engine will allow us to manage, adapt and extend comparison services faster and easier,”.

Revenues here at MoneySuperMarket grew by 9 per cent to £122.4 million in the six months to the end of last month, as business increased on all its channels.

The shares rose by 3½p to 185½p.
